Endoscopic reproductive surgery intended to improve fertility may include surgery on the uterus, ovaries, pelvic peritoneum, and the Fallopian tubes. It includes hysteroscopy & laparoscopy. Laparoscopy is perceived as a minimally invasive surgical technique that both provides a panoramic & magnified view of the pelvic organs and allows surgery at the time of diagnosis while Hysteroscopy is a telescopic examination of uterine cavity from inside to diagnose & correct cavity abnormalities which interfere in normal fertility.
Gestational surrogacy, full surrogacy or IVF surrogacy is defined as treatment by which the gametes of the genetic couple, commissioning couple or intended parents in a surrogacy arrangement are used to produce embryos that are subsequently transferred to a woman who agrees to act as a host for these embryos. The surrogate host is therefore genetically unrelated to any offspring that may be born as a result of this arrangement.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is the least invasive, effective, relatively simple, cheap, first line assisted conception treatment method for infertility couples wherein the washed semen with good sperm quality are inseminated into the uterine cavity of the female partner at the time of ovulation. The goal is to place as many active, well- formed sperms as close to the ovulated eggs as possible, thereby increasing their chances of Fertilization.
What is IVF? It is micromanipulation technique used in the process of IVF which involves injection a single sperm into the centre of mature oocyte under the microscope.
